Grace and Peace to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Sandie and Ron were in a prayer meeting a couple of weeks ago when Ron began experiencing an inability to speak. Sandie took him to the hospital and the doctors began taking tests to try and find out what Ron had suffered from and why.
Soon after, the doctors found a mass in Ron's brain and they have been doing tests to see what exactly the mass is and how to go about treating Ron.
Despite the setback that Ron has faced, he is doing well and in fact Sandie says, "He looks like he could run a marathon!"
This past week they have traveled from Friday Harbor to Santa Barbara to take care of some business and meet with doctors in their own home town. For now they will stay in Santa Barbara until they find out what The Lord's will is which will determine their next step.
One day at at time!
This morning Ron and Sandie are in the neurologists office to hear from the doctors what they're reports have revealed.
Please pray with us for:
*a miracle of complete healing and that Sandie and Ron grow old together in Jesus Name
*great wisdom and discernment for the doctors as they advise Sandie and Ron in this hour
*God to be glorified in and through Sandie and Ron as they continue trusting and resting in Him, their God of hope. Rom. 15:13
Nothing is impossible with our God!

We love you Sandie and Ron and we're standing with you in prayer each step of the way!
May THE GOD OF PEACE RULE in your hearts today! Col. 3:15
Ron and Sandie, we love you so very much and we have many prayer warriors praying on your behalf. Rest, eat your greens, drink your water...and God is in control of the rest = ) Love you muches, Love Jim and Cams
It is a priviledge to be able to pray for both of you at this trying time. I will be praying for strength, direction, healing and that both of you will be covered "by His feathers". I know how connected the 2 of you are and pray that you can both be supported by all those that love you!
Lori
I know God's richest blessings are upon you at this very moment, so many are praying on your behalf. My prayer is you receive the best help from doctors medical science can give you. That everything is explained in ways you receive the peace of knowing exactly what has transpired and needs to be done. There is something about knowing all the facts that helps when we are confronted medical issues. I think about you daily and am asking God for His perfect will to be done concerning this crisis. I am asking for a supernatural calm and confidence in His guidance through this. I say supernatural because humanly speaking, it is a nightmare. Who wants a mass or tumor on our brain? May God have mercy and protect you both through the days ahead. I love you Sandy and know from Russ's medical issues waiting and going through the hoops of tests, probes, surgerys etc. can be grueling. I hope the hospital has an expresso stand, ha that helps!
Micah 7::7 "But for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me."

Ron and Sandie,
Our hearts go out to you as you face this challenge. The Lord Jesus is faithful to complete the work that He has started. That is our hope and our confidence. Hebrews 10:35-36 "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise." I am praying for wisdom, peace and comfort as He holds you in the palm of His hand while the storm may rage. His light is always brightest during the darkest of times. You are greatly loved!
Praying, Glenna
I woke up this morning before day break with you in my prayers Ron. I had gone to sleep thinking about you and must have kept in a mode of pray through the night? I was awakened by the rustling of Russ and his son scooting the dogs in the back yard before daybreak. October 10 opened hunting season and Russ's son Bill is here and they're ardent hunters so before daybreak out they go and don't get home till after dark.
Continuing the story I told you yesterday about Russ's plight with the brain stint. I was mused this morning remembering how it was before we knew what he had. One day we had taken two vehicles to town and I was following Russ who was in the truck, and me behind in my Subaru. Suddenly the truck was all over the road, weaving irratically. This is not good the river is ha, on one side of the road. But fortunately for Russ he went off the road on the opposite side. You would have thought that would have alerted him bumping along in the ditch and then plowing into a highway sign but it didn't. I was panic stricken following him. Finally he came to a stop. I was all over that truck!!!!!!!!!!!"are you ok?" "what the heck is going on?" Russ was just sort of dazed and not exactly knowing why he was in a ditch. The front of the truck was "smarting off at us with dollar signs, that was a costly ditch run."
We didn't know what caused "his joy ride" till later when we found out about the problem with his brain ------- other such things happened but we look back now and laugh-----NO it isn't funny---------just twisted minds making light of life!!! But to catch you up to date last month we were coming back from me having minor surgery on my face removing pre-cancerous stuff. Russ wanted to drive and I was a bit tired so asked him as usual, "how you doing?" "I'm good," he says--------so we settle in for the 90 mile treck home. About half way I'm in and out of dozzing and feel something is not right --------look up and we're cross wise on the road headed for the sidewalk and buildings. I quickly glance over at Russ and his head is down. "OH my GOD RUSS!!!!!!!!" and give him a jab, he quickly corrects the car. I'm ha, in the "I'm taking over here!!!!!!!!" mode. He pulls over at a safe place and I drive home. He doesn't know what happened----he thinks he might have fallen to sleep? But he can drift off like that and but for the grace of God . . .!
We just have to live life with what we have each day. We don't do anything different we just take one day at a time. YES ha, it is wise to factor in some safe-guards------ and about the time we think things are "safe" well we find ourselves crosswise on the road. Thankfully NO cars were behind us------God is so merciful.
I thought of Russ this morning out hunting in the hills-------but quickly dismissed my concerns with getting on with my morning. He is living life and enjoying it.
Be blessed today Ron, have the best day you can. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers and best wishes.

Not a lot going on here, I'm stuck on this side of the river, the men are still up in the woods hunting but wanted to drop in and let you know you are thought of today.
I was looking at II Kings 20:1-11 this morning, how Hezekiah was told he was going to die and as it turned out God gave him 15 more years of life. I think for me the moral of this story is, we do all we can do, 'getting (as Hezekiah was told,) his house in order' and we do not under any circumstances short change God. I look at Russ and ha! up in the woods living life, ----- then feeling ha, last night like he was 100 years old trying to keep up with his hearty phyically fit mid forties son, but this morning before day break - back at it. Proverbs 17:22a "A cheerful heart is good medicine . . ."
Be blessed today, and enjoy it to the full!

Well not that you are remotely interested ha, you city dwellers who buy your meat at Safeway ha-----------"Russ got his deer!" He dressed it out and then we butchered it and it's in the freezer.
Just to let you know how different the North West woodsmen's are when they get together for a special 'do-in's'; our church is having a "wild game" night for our men. It's November (6th) ha, want to come? They'll enjoy only wild meat, river salmon, etc. They'll have a speaker that is well known for his amazing nature loving ways with wild life and his spiritual depth of the Word. He'll show a DVD of an elk he calls "Elvis" that came annually for years to his ranch. He got so familiar with it it would feed out of his hand. Some years Elvis would bring other elk with him but none were as friendly as "Elvis." The other thing that was amazing about this relationship between man beast was "Elvis" would drop his horns right near the barn on the road (elk shed their horns annually, so do deer). But shedding them both in the same spot is truly incredible. In the woods you might find one side of the horns but rarely if ever both. A good set of horns are worth many, many hundreds of dollars -- each side.
The women will decorate the hall in all North West things -- we'll make a 'duck blind' and have "a gilly suit." (crazy looking cammy outfit with stuff looking like it is growing out of the head dress so animals don't see you) I'll bring a lot of things we have here too. I think they'll set up a tent for decoration too and it will be a fun time for the men and a great night out for hunters.
I know you're most likely going ha, ha, ha, "what is she talking about??????? ahhh" Oh who cares, just thinking about you and so rambling on here with what's going on in our neck of the woods, (pun).
The first things Russ said when we got the meat wrapped was, "that big roast goes for the church's wild game night."
OK, well just sharing our 'up-comin's!
People in this neck of the woods feel they have it best, ------ they eat meat that is half the fat and half the calaries, no preservatives or chemicals in it-------natures best.
And another side to all of this is; Isaac loved Ishmael the best of his two sons, because Ishmael was a nature lover and for his ability to hunt wild game and cook it. So see ha, we're biblical!!!!!!!!
Genesis 27:3 "Now then, get your weapons---your quiver and bow----and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me."
Ha, OK I see you smirking ha, - - - - Hope you are having a good laugh!!!!
